Okay, the Key Chain Self Defense Course is now officially on, thanks to all of you who expressed an interest in this course for yourself and or spouses. Why take the Key Chain Self Defense Course:

Being prepared for a situation can be anything from simply seeing or thinking ahead, to violent resistance. Both are skills that need to be taught, or experienced. Teaching someone to think or be aware is easy, but for the most part teaching any form of “dependable” self-defense can take years. Most weapons require skills that take months of teaching and practice to perfect and have enough confidence to be used.

In all my years of learning and teaching martial arts and other forms of self-defense, I would have never considered anything as simple as a key chain to be a defensive weapon, but couldn’t believe how easy and quick it is to learn to use effectively, by anyone, of any age, sex, size, physical condition, or martial arts experience. Men, women, and children have learned techniques to protect themselves from me in this fun, eye opening, and educational class.

While looking for a practical tool to instruct female police officers to carry I learned about a form of non-lethal self defense with a key chain being taught to police officers at the Los Angeles Police Academy. I attended the two-week training seminar and became an instructor in “Key Chain Self-Defense.” This experience was most noteworthy because I came home with more bruises than I did after the entire six months of law enforcement academy.

I returned to my agency and taught the female police officers in the use of the key chain. Several of the male officers requested training it its use after seeing the females use the tool and before long the entire agency was trained, carrying, and using the new tool. Since that time I have instructed hundreds of police officers and civilians in the use of a key chain for self defense. Normally the class fee is $99.00 per student, $85.00 for groups.

About the class:

Instructor
Jerry England, owner of Lone-Wuff Defense, holds several advanced degrees in various forms of martial arts and is a retired law enforcement self-defense instructor and has taught Key Chain Self-Defense to law enforcement and privately for over 20 years.

Training
The Beginner “Key Chain Self-defense Course” will be a three-hour block of instruction, which will include lecture and hands-on skills practice. Upon successful completion each student will receive a key chain (retail value $12), my “Key Chain Self Defense” guide (retail value $20), and certificate of course completion good for 3 years. Agenda would include but not be limited to:

Opening Lecture 30 minute
Skill & Technique Group Practice 45 minute
Break 15 minute
Special Circumstance & Scenario-based Demonstrations 15 minute
Skill & Technique Group Practice 45 minute
Conclusion with specific emphasis on personal safety 30 minute
Total 3 hours

Registration: Students must pre-register to take advantage of the CCR. Discount, but students will continue to be accepted while at CCR, for the normal group fee.

Class Size: Can be members, spouses, children, or guests as per CCR’s discretion.

Audio/Visual: PowerPoint presentation for lecture and technique demonstrations.

Time: Undivided 3-hour block of instruction, starting at 9:00 AM on Thursday August 30th.

The Self Defense Class pre-registration has closed. We will only have enough books and key chains for twelve additional students to sign up at the door and you must arrive at 8:30 Thursday morning.

To insure we get started on time, if you have pre-registered please show up at 8:45 sharp Thursday morning (location TBD) to get signed into the class and sign your death certificate...I mean a release :rotf:
