I have a R1200rt with the factory stereo. I use the XM Express radio. It's slightly larger than a Roady, but the controls are much easier to operate with gloves on. The "secret" feature of this radio is that it's the only XM unit that has an Aux In jack on its base so you can plug an IPod into it and play the Ipod through your radio as well. I've mounted mine with a Hoon bracket and use the XM FM Modulator. This model modulator doesn't require a separate power source, so even though I had to remove some plastic to mount it, it was an easy installation. The modulator isn't absolutely necessary, just makes the reception better when traveling. The main convenience is being able to play the Ipod with just a $3.00 patch cord. I hope this helps.
