CCR Memories

Fired up the grill tonight to do some chicken breasts for the family. While I was pulling out the BBQ sauce I saw the CCR Georgia Sunshine Internal Combustion Sauce. I thought what the heck and added that to a couple of the breasts that my oldest son and I had. I can remember my surprise when that bottle of hot sauce was added to our welcome pack, Thanks to Bruce Yates.

As I was eating, I thought back to last year's CCR. Even though Connie and I didn't ride that week we had a blast helping folks getting directions to the mountains and to a couple of our favorite places to eat.

I'm looking forward to making more memories this summer. Anybody else got any memories they want to share from last year or before?

I think one of my best memories is the view of the Grand Tetons from Jackson Lake Lodge. Of course the best part of every CCR I have been to is renewing old acquaintances and making new ones.

Gatlinburg was my first CCR and I have this mental image of the 4 day long highly entertaining conversation between several hundred friends that spilled over into town and all the way to the Aquarium.

Breckenridge was my very first CCR. I don't think any other CCR will ever match the excitement of "that first one". :) Not to say that Jackson Hole or Braselton were disappointments.

Looking forward to Tan-Tar-A, for sure. And yes, I still consume that hot sauce on a weekly basis. :D

Weekly? Try daily. For me, CCR is a magic event and it's the folk's that make it so. Truly a fambly, some sharper than a bag of wet mice, others that make you laugh so hard your face hurts and yet others that become dear, lifetime friends.

Or the memory of Raffy doing HID installs and David Shealey doing gas cap mods while Stick and I put a unigo together.....all around the pool in Sante Fe

Or maybe the parachutes coming down in Gatlinburg....inside the hotel.

Or the "saddles" in the restaurant where SE gang gathered in Jackson Hole.

Or the early morning fog heading into the north Georgia mountains at day break.

I was trying to let that one slide by as the Culprit may still be lurking in a elevator somewhere in central Missouri awaiting his next victim.
