LED Lites Rigged Behind Luggage Reflector ???

Looking to make the LT more visable at nite and thought of putting 3 LED's behind the reflector on the bags. Has anyone ever done this? Where should I wire them into?

I tried that route...putting LEDs behind the reflector too...but didn't like the results. The reflector blocks too much light from coming out...as opposed to a lens which allows the light out. So I went a different route. I went online to Signal Dymanics (http://www.signaldynamics.com/) and bought two LED light bars. I carefully cut through the saddlebags and tip-over strips (you gotta cut through them anyway). Screwed and wired them in and then siliconed them water tight. On the outside I fabricated an aluminum faceplate to dress it up. I get compliments on them all the time...and they are much BRIGHTER .

Here is the only pic I could find now...if you are interested I can get more and post. Let me know. With the reflectors over the LEDs you can't even tell if they are lit during the day and they were too dim at night (so leave them off). PLUS...I found the reflectors to be directionally dependent...meaning that no light passed through at certain viewing angles. With this set up it bright all the time from every vantage point!

And if you order the ones from Raffy they will look something similar to this and they show up very well through the reflector. I think the ones being sold now have more LEDs behind the reflector than mine do.

I have already done this.
I used 3 x 1 watt luxeon leds per side.
These LEDS are *DAMN* bright and can be easily seen from *ANY* angle day or night.
Send me an email and i will give you the info and if you want i can tell you how to set up more leds behind the refector.

I´ve done the saddle bag lights last year.

have a look at the attachment. I used LED strips with 9 LED´s. Strips are ready to install for 12V.
