I rode today and really wouldn't mind not going home this evening. It is supposed to be like this all week. So, if we would like to meet somewhere for dinner say on Wednesday, that would be cool. Post the when and where. I leave work at about 5 and should be able to be in Centralia by 6 or 6:30 depending on getting out of Beaverton and into Washington.

Easy, Brian. Put the LT on the boat, and then take it up the Inside Passage. Then ride down for dinner. Of course you'll have to ride back up to retrieve the boat, but that's all good. ;)

Well I guess that there are only 3 of us interested. Centralia sounds fine to me tomorrow at about 6 to 6:30. I do not know where we should meet however and would love to have someone say where.
I think everyone else has passed away.

Well there are some of us who are sleeping but just might be able to get to Centralia on Wednesday. We were just waiting to see if it would really be there or not. We will meet the folks there. Taking the long way would be about 15 miles

Steve, Do you need to fill er up before you head out? 15 miles, You probably know of a good dinner spot. Any ideas? Or How about you Dan? Ken, I would love to take the route you suggested..... But at 3-4 dollars per mile on the boat, I think I'll stick to the bike only journeys for awhile

I have eaten at the Rib Eye a few times and it was good. It is right off the freeway, so you can't miss it. It sounds good to me.
Art, you want to swing by the Chevron so I can follow those high powered lights to Chehalis? Just name the time and I will be waiting.

I figured that from previous RTEs that you were refering to McMenamins at 112 N. Tower Ave. I guess that it was never really stated as such but it had been mentioned in the past. There are several good eating places in Centralia. The Olympic Club (McMenamins) is exit 82 East to Tower. Turn left (North) 1/2 block on right.
I have several other suggestions if you would like.

I,m along for the ride and the company, anywhere works for me. You guys know the places best. I decent meal and good beer...

Nov 15th, 2005, 6:21 pm
Actually the Rib Eye sounds good. I live just down the street from the Grand Lodge (McMenamins) and would rather go some place different, if that's okay.:)
I think that I can be at the Chevron station by about 5:30 if the traffic isn't to bad. I'll probably leave early just to make sure that get there.
So, does this sound like a plan?

Nice hear to hear your going to make it John, Marilyn is always welcome I'm sure. How much trouble could we get into anyway? Do we need to make reservations? and what time are we shooting for at the restaurant?

This time of year work gets in the way. I'm thinking I might be heading up to Ride West in Seattle this or next weekend though. Have fun getting across the river Art. I spent 45 minutes from Columbia Blvd to Vancouver today at 3pm. It was worse at 5pm.

Hey Marilyn, I plan to go tomorrow night so you won't have to represent the gals all by yourself! The Rib Eye is a good restaurant, and this should be fun for a little mid week break. We will see you at the Chevron at 5:30.

Larry,
I plan on taking the long way, Perhaps hwy 7 to Morton then hwy 508? to Chehalis. I'm still waiting to hear what time we are meeting at the restaurant to figure out when I'll be leaving.
Are you interested in a detour route? I will be taking I-5 home though. Yuk. I will leave Renton(work) somewhere between 1-2:30 and may stop by tacoma to change clothes. My # is 206-819-7020 in case you need it.

Are we planning to meet at the rib eye?
artk50
Nov 16th, 2005, 10:43 am
Google says that it is 76 miles from Vancouver to Chehalis. Dan/Debbie, John/Marilyn and I are meeting at the Chevron station at 5:30ish (I need gas) and so we should be able to be there by 6:30 or 7. So, let's just call it 7.
Rib Eye Restaurants, Ltd (http://www.ribeyerestaurant.com/). 1364 Rush Road, PO Box 828, Chehalis, WA 98532. Phone: 360-748-0288.
Reservation's would be a good idea since there will be 8 of us. Dan/Debbie, can you do that for us?
Sounds like fun to me.

Rib Eye Reservations are made for 8 people at 7:00 pm under the name of "Reelman".

OK folks, I just got off the phone with the Rib Eye and we now have reservations for 7:00 PM for appx 8 of us. I told them that it could vary from 7 to 9, but anticipate 8. He said there shouldn't be a problem since Wed nights are not typically real busy.
They are made in the name of "BMW K1200LT Group" and my name: John Fisher, so we should be covered. Hate to ride a hundred miles and hear they had no room!

OK gang, this is strange, but I just got off the phone with the Rib Eye in Chehalis (which is reportedly at exit 72 off I-5) and they tell me that the only reservations they have are mine for the BMW group under my name: John Fisher. They say they have none under "Reelman"! So, Dan, is there another Rib Eye that we have reservations at? Or am I at the wrong one? Help!
FYI, I called the number Art had posted earlier in the thread here: 360-748-0288. Twice.

I called and talked to the same person that took my reservation. She confirmed she had both reservations. I asked her to cancel one. We are set.

Yep, the Southern NW contingent has made it home also. at least this third did. Pretty sure Dan & Debbie were home way before us as we saw them depart I-5 a good half hour before we got here. and Art was motoring by us as we hopped off the highway, so I'm sure he's home by now as well.
Marilyn and I enjoyed the company as well plus no one got wet tonight! Great time guys!

Brian,
I don't know how it is in WA, but here in CA you can take traffic school online. If you actually read all the material before answering the questions, it takes about three hours. Or so they tell me. ;)
Just in case you were wondering. :)

meese
Nov 17th, 2005, 5:05 pm
You could look here: http://www.dol.wa.gov/
But I imagine the court will tell you if you're eligible. Nothing to do but wait for the summons, I'm afraid.
Stoker100
Nov 17th, 2005, 11:33 pm
You may be able to write to them and request the deferal. It is 100.00 and holds the ticket for one year. If you do not get another ticket in a year it's dropped, if you do your screwed, have to automatic pay for both!
call the court and ask, you don't have to wait!
