Just to let everyone know ... The Butler Extreme Drink Holder is now installable on the k1200lt. The site is www.glassact.com. many of you have been requesting this for some time so we wanted to let you know we found a secure mounting position.

The Butler bracketing system could ultimately be the best way to install other devices on the handlebars as well since the plastic can get in the way.

If the site has not yet been updated with the BMW mount you can call Mike or Rita Vine (the owners) and they will take your order over the phone.

Sure does look like the one on cfell's LT. ;) He's happy as can be with the setup. I thought it was cool too. I just don't know how many LT owners are going to be willing to Dremel into the handlebar's trim piece to make this unit work.

Yup... just as Joe stated.. that's the one. I've not seen any issues with my install.

I think any holes in the trim could be filled smoothly with a dab of touchup. Still pricey, in my opinion, just to have a cup of coffee (or other beverage) handy. Looks like a great setup method tho.

I have one of these (actually two - one in each of the larger sizes) that I used on my Valk & Vrod. Just don't see how it would work with the GPS installed.

However, the new BMW unit with the Starbucks (thanks to this site for that one!!) works just fine wit the GPS.

Channing, what tank bag are you using?? A LT with Chicane tank bag doesn't work the BMW cup holder. I don't think the one you're using will either. JM2CW

A LT with Chicane tank bag doesn't work the BMW cup holder. HUH?!?!?! I used the BMW cupholder with a Chicane tankbag for more than 30K miles.

I watched the BMW guys here in Atlanta have a devil of a time with it and a Chicane bag. But then again what I thought was the LT specific bag might have been one of the other Chicane bags.

I believe that it can be installed on either side of the bars if that helps.

I have a little more than 150,000 miles on my Ghetto Bottle Holder gimmick and works fine for me.

+2, my Chicane and BMW cupholder works just fine as well!

I will say that it is truly nice to now have options. Way to go.
