Hi Wooly,

o.k. a short description. The 4th German Rally will take place in the region called Eifel. The Borders of that region are the cities Aachen and Cologne in the north and the river mosel in the south. The east and west borders of that region are the Rhine and the border to belgium. The place where we will meet is called Stadtkyll. The date is from may 25th to 28th. We already had a few guys from foreign countries last year. So if you woulg like to take part, you´re invited to do so.

Thanks Ralph, do you think it's worth a trip over - I know the local countryside is superb there ??

And of course the Eifel region of Germany is where the Nürburgring is - and on many days the old 14 mile circuit of the Nordschleife is open to the public - if you ain't done it you must!! see:- http://213.239.207.198/nuerburgring.de/index.php?id=186&L=1 and don't worry about insurance on a race track as the circuit is officially designated a 'One way toll road' .

Hi Ralf - I was suprised that bookings are now closed, I, too, would have liked to have gone, but due to the nature of my work, I cannot plan anything that far ahead - Can you just 'show up' for a couple of days??

Hi,

I'm so sorry that I've read your postings so late, but I don't visit this forum so often. Fact is that we are now 55 bikes with around 90 people. Our reservations are all made, but maybe there are a few rooms left. Please feel free to make a call. The telephone numbers could be found under www.vulkamar.de
Maybe I'll see some of you...

Over the weekend of the 26th to 29th May I was over in Southern Belgium for a Meeting of European Triumph Stag Owners Clubs, based a few miles south of the Spa racing circuit.

We were out following a pre-prepared route that took us close to the Spa circuit and I noticed a K1200LT a couple of vehicles in front of us. Rounded a corner and spotted the column of about 10 others in front of that.

I followed them into the circuit and there were about 50 K1200LTs there, despite the heavy rain. It was a fantastic sight seeing so many such bikes in one place, when it is rare in the UK to see one on the road.

I hope the attendees at the 'K1200LT Treffen' had a better day out on the Sunday, when the sun came out briefly.

Hi Gordon,

so you got soaked in Spa as well :p . Well, doesn't the name in English make you expect something like that...

I was there too, and it was a lot of fun despite the weather on Friday. On Saturday we rode around in river Mosel valleys and the weather was much better.
I plan to attend the LT-Treffen next year again. It will be in Berlin this time. Some rumors say that perhaps we could have a chance for a factory tour and see how the LTs are built.
