After discussing with my wife the need/want to convert over to HID lights on the LT, we both researched the different kits available. After deciding on the Fashtek kit, my wife not only was the one who ordered the kit, she installed it as well!! She used the excellent guide from messenger13, which for the most part applies to the Fashtek kit as well. Total install time for her, with me watching and cheering her on, was about 2 1/2 hours. Not bad, huh? Of course she enjoys doing that sort of thing, whereas I would almost rather go to the dentist than mucking about in the innards of the LT. The best part of all, everything works as advertised: high beam, low beam, PIAA lights (already installed), and the XM radio.

For those still considering, take heart and make the plunge. The price is right and the difference is amazing.

Safe riding,

CQLight worked for me. 8000k temp. Install was a snap, and you're right.... all the difference in the world.

Just goes to show what a small world it is. I have friends that live there in the hill country of Texas in Kerrville. I've been through Franklin many times, but must admit I'm not familiar with Bunkie. As for myself I'm actually a native Tennessean.

Have a great weekend.

Stated earlier that I used 8000k - really was 6500k temp, just a tad more blue than the 5000k that most here seem to prefer.

Hi Brian, We went with the 4300K which was the most recommended. It does provide a nice white light.
