I just bought the Fashtek HID conversion kit for both hi and lo beams. I know on the low beam what the positive and negative leads are, but I'm not sure for the hi beams. Is the brown positive, or is the white?

Thanks a lot,

Doug

Doug, white is positive and brown is negative. Brown is common between both Hi and Lo beam.

Also thanks for the heads up on Fashtek wanting to do another group buy.

Thanks for the quick info. Actually, I have a confession. I discussed with my wife that I wanted to do the conversion. We jointly researched the different HID kits and settled on Fashtek. She not only was the one who ordered the kit, she also installed it! Am I lucky or what! It's really that easy guys. I did watch and cheer her on. Everything works as advertised and the difference is amazing. If you're waiting, I think with the price now is the time.

Again, thanks a lot and safe motoring.

Hi Doug,

congratulations on the conversion. I have done the dip beam but not the main yet. I was wondering what you thought of the main beam change and was it worth it allowing that it takes a few seconds to get to full brightness.

Anyone else have any thoughts of yes or no to main beam conversion appreciated as I try to make my mind up on doing it or not.

Mike.

Mike, I use the high, or main beam, while riding in the day along with my PIAA lights for higher visibility, ie so other motorists can see me better. I haven't ridden enough at night just yet to see how much of a difference it will make. However from the time I used it last night for my test run, it seemed to be significant.

Pat, you're right I am very lucky, but it's a two edged sword. My wife has a Mini Cooper she also likes to work on, but I can only sit back so much and watch her get greasy before I really feel guilty and have to jump in and help. In fact she's out right now changing her front brake pads and rotors, so I'd better get out there. :(
