Hey Dave, How has the Hella's converted to HID worked out? Any suggestion? I am thinking doing a similar conversion with some Piaa's or Hella's Thanks, David

Not really sure how Dave's conversion of the FF75's worked out, but I just finished working out a conversion of the FF50 driving lights to HID last Sunday, got them mounted on the BMR under mirror mounts. If you are interested in a test report, I will let you know in a couple of weeks when I get back from a little 11 day late-august ride.

Yes, please let us know....I have Hella FF1000's and the FF200's ordered and am going to try them converted to HID on the LT and KTM. Thanks.

They work great and really light up the road ahead of me.

I've been wanting to try this for some time, so it's nice to read others have tried too and been happy with the results. I was always concerned that they would be too bright along with the HID main headlight. My question to those that have done this is, can you leave these on most all the time, running them as additional low beam light? I can live with my high beam, so I don't want to add to that. If they're aimed reasonably, do you think I'd be blinding on coming traffic? dwillie.

I run the FF75 HID's all the time, Day or night.
Yes they are exceptionally bright, but when aimed correctly not a nuisance to oncoming drivers.

I'd appreciate seeing the details on this. I plan to do the same thing.
