Right Blinker Switch Help

Hi All:

I am new to this forum and hope I am posting this correctly and in the correct location.

I have a 99 K1200LT which I just bought. The Right blinker has been acting up. When I push it sometimes it will work other times it doesn't. When I push real hard sometimes it works other times a light touch makes it work. Not fun not knowing if it is working or not and having to look at gauges when traveling fast!!

Do I need a new switch or is this something that is common and can be repaired?

According to the fiche at Max BMW (http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/MainDiagrams.asp?mospid=47964)it’s a $199.00 unit. Have you tried contact cleaner on it yet? If you need to replace it, you could check with beemerboneyard (http://www.beemerboneyard.com/).
