Sorry to have missed Ironhorse. Looks like a good time was had by all. Hunter and I hope to be there in the spring. I did have the following rascals show up at my door while you guys were having fun in the mountains and wondered if they got loose from Brett's place while he was gone? :)

Yes, the Ole' Smokies have returned (I hope). They are kind of tired and their head are kind of hangin'. Their BIG ORANGE t-shirts are kind of soiled and not as bright as in decades past!
They will attack Jeff, Don, Dave and Steve R if provoked. Too bad though that their bark is worse than their bite this year!
Me and Al are going to K-Town in the morning to what we hope is a homecoming victory. I would hate for Skippy and Chipster to ride the bikes back! LOL
So Jeff, we will see you this Spring and I wll bring the dogs!

Just have him take a peek over the edge and hand 'im that leetle bitty rope to get down by...gives me the willies just thinking about it.
Here you go...from the most recent association newsletter I received yesterday, apparently a message sent to a friend from a Georgia National Guard First Sergeant serving in Iraq. His unit is attached to a regular Infantry division, and in a previous email he had referred to Rangers as "crazy" and after being asked what he meant, in this message he clarifies:
"I have not dealt with any Ranger-pure units, but just about every Infantry unit has its fair share of Rangers, including mine. When I say crazy, that generally refers to fearless. They volunteer for the most dangerous missions such as spending the night in a three-man OP in Indian Country over-watching bad guy activity. Most of the Rangers in all of the units are also generally instrumental in planning and proposing operations. They definitely believe in taking the fight to the enemy. From what I have seen, the Rangers in this theater have equipped themselves very well." (strange last statement...not sure what he means by that)
In any event, a cool commentary...Hooah!
