When the ignition is switched off and the key removed on my 04 K1200LT the radio can be switched on, is this normal or is there any way to adjust the settings so the radio cannot be switched on by a passer-by.

If you lock the handlebars (turn them left) the radio will go off and cannot be turned on. If someone does turn your radio on then seemingly it shuts off after a couple of hours to prevent draining the battery.

You need to turn your handlebars all the way to the left and turn the key to the lock, NOT PARK, position. This will turn off the radio. If you turn the key to the park position, the parking lights will come on and you may not notice them in the day time.
