I have the Voice II on my bike because it came with it as standard equipment and it appears to work well. If I had an older bike without any existing communication system, I would opt for the Baehr K1200LT specific model. It is an easy installation and comes with headsets. Two of my riding buddies have them and they sound great at any speed. It is kind of pricey but it fits the BMW credo: BringMoneyWith

Have you considered the Autocomm units? Not as expensive as the Baehr ot the voice II but a great unit still. I would consider it as well.

baehr it's easy to install but i think i had to buy a second head set. the hardest part will be installing the head sets. boom mics are extra. contact ztechnic or perhaps "just ride it accessories," on our supporting vendors, has it. i think that baehr made a helmet that was already set up with speakers and mic for awhile. whatever you get if you check my posts, i wrote something up about how to cut the styrofoam a year or two ago. omurphy

Hi,
I have the autocomm unit, which has a mobile phone jack, and all in all a very good unit. I hardly ever use it though as I find the noise irritating and as for fitting the phone, I tried it once and now don't bother with that either. Its useful to be able to talk to the passenger but peace is even nicer!

on the baehr, you can. you have to buy the cable for it and have auto answer on the phone. mine works well. i've never dialed out though. omurphy

I use my Nokia bluetooth cell phone on the bike. I can make and receive calls while riding. Motorola bluetooth Razr phones have a few more connectivity features that work even better (auto answer, ring count)
I connect a Motorola HF820 to the Voice II with a cable that I got from BMW. The Motorola HF820 is a bluetooth speakerphone with a headset jack that you use to connect the BMW cable to the voice II. Then you link your bluetooth phone to the HF820 via the bluetooth pairing process. I got the Motorola HF820 off of eBay for about $25 or so.
There are a previous threads on this topic so you may want to do a search.

With the cable and autoanswer on, my Motorola works fine in the VOICE II. When I had the Baehr Ultra in my CLC the adjustments had to be done while stopped and off the bike. I can adjust the II on the fly, if I'm careful. And I have made outgoing calls but was stopped at the time. There is no difference from using a headset.

A cool feature that the RAZR has is voice dialing. Set up the contacts that you want to voice dial, hit the HF820 "phone" button, and say the name you want to call. On my Nokia, I use the one touch speed dial because the voice calling feature sucks.

I have my motorola phone plugged in and i use the voice recognition function to dial out. Puch a button and it asks for the command "name dial" then asks for the name and it works great.
Starcom is a good intercom too, saw them at STC last week. Cheaper than Baehr too.
