Trailering LT but have chock questions regading tie down

I have read the links regarding tying down the LT which are very helpful. But my question is, if you place the front tire in a chock, it should be facing straight forward. How do you take the key out of the "05" ignition since it has to totally be turned to one side to remove it? Am I missing something or should I not worry about the key in it?

I would absolutely have the wheel forward. You can remove the key in the middle position between lock and on. Just make sure your radio and other accessories are turned off so you don't kill the battery.

I just leave the key in at the "half way point" while I am moving and go to "R" and pull it when I stop to eat. Just remember to turn off the radio.
