I went out for a short ride today and when I started up the bike to leave I had no radio nothing at all .
I tried to restart the LT and no change while on the ride I stopped for some water and checked the fuses all were good.
Then I noticed that the high beam light on the dash was on after I returned home I checked the fuse at the CD changer it was ok I had no head lights at all I had this problem with the lights and the dealer said was ground wire.

Has anyone had this problem and what was the fix. If at all possiable I dont want to spend any more money on the bike already. Have only had it for about 6 weeks and spent 600 at the dealer getting It serviced when I go it

Any help would be great

Thanks in advance

David,

A quick and simple (and cheap) possibility for your radio:
Disconnect the battery for a few minutes and then reconnect. This allows the radio to "reboot" and will sometimes cure the strange ills that occur.
Yes, I know, sounds strange.

The headlight: The symptoms you describe are indicative of a bad ground. (Have to agree with your dealer.) You will most likely find the problem inside the headlight shell. The brown wire and it's related connectors that ties the ground connectors together is probably corroded / burned.

I don't have a very good picture of said ground wire in the shell. ( The attached picture was taken during an HID install and doesn't show it very well.) The fix for mine is the brown wire with the yellow heat shrink just left of center. Than's where it's at anyway.

Good Luck.
