Has anyone used Gizmo Mill's LED Flashers in their LT tail lights? I saw a set of them and it seems they just replace the oem lightbulbs. From what I understand they can be set up in several different flash modes. Anyone know of trouble with these or how well they work? I'm thinking of putting them on my 06 LT. Don

Remember that if you replace the tail/brake lights with LEDs on an '05 + LT, you are probably going to need load equalizer to burn up some of the extra current. Otherwise the computer is going to think there is a fault causing the lower power consumption. Mine threw a brake fault and disabled the electric center stand.

I saw these at the BMW Dealer in OKC and they talked like they would work without any problem. My biggest problem was I didn't want to drop $200 just to find out that they wouldn't work or that I needed an other $150 part to make them compatiable. Don

If Dealer recommends... get dealer to install... then dealer responsible for faults.

Of course, you could upgrade to LEDs and put an LED flasher upstream and accomplish the same for about half.

I just put these on my 03 LT. About a 15 minute job.
Remove the two bolts in the side bags that hold the tail light assembly in.
Slide out the tail light assembly
Remove the three center light bulb sockets. Take the rubber washers off them to reuse with the new sockets. (They simply twist out)
Put the new three sockets in their place, after putting the rubber washers on. ( I did have to slightly sand/file two of the openings to get the new sockets to fit.- about 30 seconds of effort)

Rewire per the instructions. Very easy to do. Slide the tail light assembly back in and replace the bolts.

One of the sockets is the master , and you have several settings to choose from regarding how long you want the LED's to flash.

I did go ahead and get the LED break flasher from Gizmo Mill. They worked great but I did have to remove a bit of plastic to make them fit in the hole and the spade tips on the flasher was to big so I had to replace the female side on the bike's wiring. I talked with the Gizmo people and they said they had receive a few other complaints. They told me to go ahead and replace the tips if I didn't mind or they would replace the LED. It took a little longer but I replaced the tips. They work great. Don
