I felt like this might be one of the last really great days on the Parkway so 5 of us from the station played hooky and took a little ride. 27 and 181 were great and the leaves were bright and beautiful. We had a great BBQ lunch at a little out of the way place in Linville. I cant remember the name of the place but Ill try to get it from one of the other guys. Had some clouds in the upper elevations and the leaves had mostly fallen above 3500 feet. Great color up to 3000 feet. Lots of leaves in the roads so if it raines for the next couple days like its supposed to its going to be very slippery in the turns. I hope we have some more days like this soon.
