Help with strange Radio issue

Sorry I place this is the BIKE take forum and mean it for here)

I have experience this problem on my 2005 LT
The dealer has seen it and does not have a clue at this point what is causing it and is contacting BMW.
In the meantime I figured I would try some troubleshooting myself.
The problem appears after the bike get wet either by washing it or riding in the rain
1) The radio appears to be off as indicated on the LCD display.
2) Though I can hear it playing at a very low volume.
3) I have no idea what station since there is no indication of what is playing.
4) There is no control over the radio at all, no ability to change a station or playing CD or changed volume, no control at all.
5) Except you can use the on button to turn if off as note in item 2. But keep in mind there is no indication of the radio being on.
6) Other strange indication is that the stand down indicating icon is on and states that the one of the stands are in the down position.
7) The Bike starts without any problem
8) Placing it in gear even though the indication the stand is down will not cause the bike to turn off.
9) The power center stand will no work with the bike running. If i shut the engine off then the power center stand works

Sounds like a ground issue but not sure. Everything else works fine

PS Also if some one could get my a copy of wiring diagram or direct me to a useful one it would be appreciated

I think you are right - missing a ground some where. The stand indicator is only for the center stand. It does not indicate the side stand and the side stand is the only one that, if down, will kill the engine if you go into gear. I would chase the ground.
