Impromptu trip to the Hill Country

A few of us are going to the Hill Country this weekend. We are leaving Friday and coming back on Sunday. There's no schedule and we haven't picked a place to stay Friday and Saturday night. We were thinking of just playing it by ear and staying someplace in Kerrville.

The BMWDFW club is having their Golden Maples Tour this weekend and they will be at Casa Bonita in Hunt.

Well, best laid plans ..... yadayada. Right after our phone chat, I called Hank about working on Toad before the week-end. Nope - he's slammed and can't get to it 'til Monday ayem. So - soon as I find out where you guyz are staying and what your agenda is, I'll fire up the Goat and meetcha somewheres. Been a long, long time since the last time.

I pinged Monte and Swanzy, butt haven't heard back yet - they may ping you direct.

Would love to do that, butt ole Toad'd have a heart attack if I swung a leg over a niece or a nephew!!! ;) 'Sides, I need to pull the Goat out and get an inspection done and pay the man for another annual sticker.

Have a great time over in Houston - and don't forgit, Angel knows you're goin' to the m/c show AND she knows Xmas is just around the corner!!!

I'll call you, Monte, and Swanzy on Friday night after we get set up at whatever hotel we find. I've also got to remember to call Kirk and let him know. His wife has a meeting in Austin on Saturday morning, but after that, they were going to drive over and hook up with us. Bring the goat. Jim likes Boer Goats, but I prefer the 4-wheeled kind from Pontiac.

Hey, Jeff - I sent you an email this morning (from the desktop - I'm on laptop now) and mentioned that a local newz program showed pictures of the maple trees changing colors at Lost Maples park .... I wuz wrong about the colors being late in turning. Dude sayz this week-end is the perfect week-end for viewing, so you guyz are in for a treat. The pics looked awesome. Enjoy.
