I've been lurking the LT forum for the last month awaiting delivery of my "05 LT.
It arrived yesterday  and now I'm itching to ride but the New England weather does not want to cooperate. :(
My question concerns the GPS. Previous owner had a Garmin 2730 and didn't include it in the sale. I already own a Garmin 2620 and it fits the existing mount and power cable just fine but there are 2 other cables on the mount. One has a male plug that I believe fits into the left side of the 2730 (XM Radio?). The other cable has a female plug. What is its purpose?

They connect the "voice" from you GPS to the intercom

Welcome aboard Flight LT!

Yup.. the female connector should be for the audio output.. it will probably be very loud at first.. so be careful... Should you have an intercom, that will pipe directly in.

On the 2730 the 3.5 male plug is for ear phones or a line out to a intercom. The female plug is probably connected to the power cable and that is a mono audio plug that would go into the intercom or you could plug a set of head phones into it but it is probably a 2.5 jack so you would have to get an adapter. The same power plug wire works on a 26xx,27xx and 28xx, I know cause I got all three and inter change them.

Thanks for the info and the quick response.
Hi Bill.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the tech session on the 21st. I have a trip to Berlin that weekend. Gotta pay for the new ride.
