Hi folks, just to be fooling around, I switched from putting the charger in the lower port on the left side of the to the one on the left side of the passenger backrest. To my surprise, the radio came on. Is this normal?

No it isn't, at least on my 2002 it isn't. I normally plug my battery tender into that port and the radio never comes on. However, when removing the stingray and then reinstalling it, as soon as I hook up the raido connectors on it, the radio comes on. Maybe you have a loose connection back there that interrupts power to the radio for a second while plugging in the charger.

Possible Back flow of current..
When I plug into my rear backrest...NOTHING HAPPENS!! The BT doesn't even go to a solid red.
Since putting in the DM armrests my "drivers side" rear speaker is dead.. not sure.. have traced EVERY inch of the wire...and can't see any breaks..shorts. I have measured the current on the output...it is good...and I have measured it at end of line NOTHING. I have not yet hooked up another audio source to the speaker...but time will tell.
Also my front "Drivers Side" front speaker is blown.... not sure about that replacement either.

If I remember correctly the power port on the trunk is switched. It is only hot when the ignition is on or in the "R" position. The front power port is always hot.

I've had radio problems. I've changed out the radio twice and am due for another. One speaker in the front will go out and the speaker on the other side in the rear will also. Both times previously, were changed under warranty. Hoping for that this time too.
