Thanks to a lot of help on this forum, I was able to replace my slave cylinder and the clutch on my K1200. Did not have a nice bench so I used a MC jack, and 3 jack stands to pull off the task. It took some 3 hours to do the whole job.
Well it took me a month(off and on). My first obstacle was a stuck left swing arm bearing stud. Had to destroy it to get it off. That tool a week to get the part. I tried to cheat and drop the tranny out the bottom. It kind of worked... only when I went to put it back together I realized I had yanked the intake manifold out of the Rubber intake ports. Finally got it back on and realized that if the intake clamps are turned the wrong way it would catch on the throttle. Then there was the 2 evenings it tool me to cut a slot in my old 30mm deepwell. I used to be an auto tech and knew better than taking shortcuts. Now I remember why. . She is running now..... Oh yea I drilled my weep hole for the slave cylinder. It is a pity that this piece routinely goes bad. Seems like we say that a lot bought the K1200. All in all I consider it a bonding experience with the bike. The only part I did not take apart was the dash. I saved a boatload of money doing this myself.
