Earlier this year I posted a thread about my rear tire whining in a turn. I picked up a large screw last week in the center of the tread and it went flat on me. It only had about 4K on the tire but it looked a little too worn in the center for me and I hate a patched tire so I bought a new one. It's a Metzeler ME880 just like the other and now there is no noise at all. It's as smooth as butter. Makes ya wanna go......hmmmmmm......Ride Safe...... :)

Have no fear, your new ME880 will start howling in turns when it get a bit older. No problem, it is just a minor annoyance. As many have said: just turn up the radio!:D

I noticed the noise on my first set of Metzler's when running the BMW recommended pressures:
Front 36 PSI (2.5 bar)
Rear 42 PSI (2.9 bar)
The general recommendations on the site here are
Front 42 PSI
Rear 48 PSI
This seems to delay the onset of the cupping that causes the noise in turns.
