I am going to do a 1500 mile/ 2400km in 24 hours Iron butt sometime this Spring/Summer. Pearson to just past Quebec City is 500 miles. I did the Great Lakes 1000 last year (1000 km around Lake Erie and Lake Ontario) was kind of easy. Just have to get the timing thru Montreal and back setup. Hopefully weekend traffic thru Montreal will not be a problem. Anyone else interested?

Sounds like it might be, kind of, maybe, possibly interesting.
What route did you envision?

I know that the KM's will click off quickly but, even on a bike it has to be a very boring ride, and as of he last time I rode from Quebec City to Montreal, last September, the smell of human sludge manure for 700 KMS being spread over the veggie fields was enough to make me gag in my helmet.

Toronto, with all of its garbage problems, has begun contracting with a couple of quebec firms to take the residual sludge, ( read: uncomposted remains from the water purification process) who in turn sell it to farmers along the Montreal - Quebec corridor. They spray it on the fields and we get to suck in the air with it as the winds blow off the st Lawrence.

Any chance of adding some more variety?

Gary, I'd end up with a couple more iron butt designations just getting to you for the ride. Actually in June, a few of us are headed the other way, BC. Good luck on your ride and I'll try to hook up with you the next time I'm in Ontario.
