Hello Everyone. New member here, and planning to trade my GoldWing for a K1200LT as soon as winter ends here in frozen tundra land.
I have a question about ventilation, and would welcome your thoughts.
How is ventilation an a K1200LT during hot weather? My Gold Wing has an operable vent in the wind screen that can be used to direct airflow at the rider to make hot weather riding a bit less hot. How is the ventilation on a K1200LT?
Thanks!

One of the nice things about the LT is you can hit the button and drop the windshield 5 inches so the wind hits you in the chest, you don,t need a vent and pulling in the wings on the side also helps a lot. I doubt you will miss the vent in the windshield.

The LT has two adjustable wings on the lower sides of the windshield that serve the same purpose. Additionally, the windshield will raise and lower at the touch of a switch (anyone from Honda reading this??).

You have a very timely question. Just yesterday afternoon a buddy and I were comparing his '06 GW with my '05 LT . The GW's small slot in the windshield is totally inferior to the LT's powered window. Open the GW's slot and you must search for the air flow. On the other hand, lower the LT windshield and you get massive amounts of ambient temperture air. The LT also offers manually adjustable side louvers for some added control of the air. ;)

I had a GL1800 & one other thing to consider is that you get allot more heat from the motor on the GL than you do from the LT.

Don't forget, the LT also has an open space at the bottom of the screen that allows air in as well. OK, and bugs too.

Depends on how tall you are and if you have replaced your windscreen with an aftermarket one to get rid of the buffetting.
I have a Cee Bailey's #2, -3 with wings, and I don't catch a bit of air behind it, even with the lower winglets turned in. So when it was 97°F yesterday on the way to the airport, I was way too warm.
Just my 2 cents,
