Help - which battery type in an '06?

Does anyone know what type of battery is in a 2006 LT?

I've been told the newer LT models could have a gel type battery or an AGM (absorbed glass mat) type battery.

Owner's manual doesn't specify what it is. Where the bike is stored right now it's very difficult for me to access to take the battery out and look.

Any help would be appreciated.

I heard a rumor that BMW switched to the sealed type of battery so that it could be installed at the factory. Seems as if was cheaper that way vrs paying the dealer to install a non-sealed battery when setting up the bike.

I switched to a sealed battery because it was a pain to take the battery cover off to add distilled water to the battery every other month (9% humidity does that), worse putting the cover back on and getting the bolts to line up for securing the cover.

BMW ships the batteries with the bikes and the dealers install them...
