Took the bike out this week, first time since Oct last year. The battery has not been charged, so is absolutely dead. Engine would instantly die if I closed the throttle. applying the brake the headlight and instrument panel would dim and the radio went off. Is this just a dead battery or some other problem. Battery has been on charge with a Battery DOC charger for 24 hrs and still no sign of life. Bike is `05 with original battery.
Thanks

Try another battery charger. I killed my battery by leaving the gps on. I tried to bring it back to like with a Battery Doc and it would not take a charge. I hooked the old trickle charger from walmart up and it was ready to go the next morning.
I don't know why, but it worked.

Disconnected the battery (which I should have done to begin with I suppose, Just being lazy) left it on charge for 24hrs and now its fully charged. thanks for the reply.
