Upon further review, the 7200 and 7500 DO NOT appear to be motorcycle friendly. I doubt these units are IPX7 water resistant. Note the SD Card slot in the side of the display (no weatherproof rubber cover)

I was looking at the Garmin website this morning and saw these soon to be released wonder-gadgets. Seven that's right 7 inch screens seem a little large as does the almost $2000.00 price tag.

Only problem I see, is that Garmin has jumped exclusively in bed with XM. Until Sirius makes an appearance I'll stick with the non-satellite radio GPS systems.

I don't see any mention of the 2730 being waterproof on the Garmin web site? Am I overlooking it ?

The XM Puck Antenna that connects to the GPS is the key to this.
It's more than just an antenna, it contains all the receiver components for Radio and Weather Radar.
The Puck connects via USB to the GPS and the GPS has only to act as a display/control head , power supply and audio amp.

Don't see a Sirius puck on the website and looking at the other units with satellite recievers are still XM. Looks like their only dealing XM and they have not responded to my question about Sirius capability.

Just my thoughts.
