OK, I got the nasty little notice saying I haven't posted in a while -- so, I have a good question to ask.

I remember seeing an article that detailed, step-by-step the replacement procedure of the bearing (19 to 17 ball). I have searched and searched, and have been unable to produce it. Anyone have a link to the article i am thinking of??

Thanks in advance. I know you fellas always come through for these type questions.

Hey coach, Nice to see you around here again. I remember the article you are looking for but I can't find it either. I could help you out with changing it if needed. I have heard that BMW went back to the 19 ball bearings and the 17's were discontiued. Is your magnet getting full of metal particles?

Dan, you are awesome man. I have been looking under the "technical" file...not files then technical. Thanks man. Saved me a lot of time.

Brian, hows that not-so-new ride treating you? I think you are winning the race for the most hated guy in Washington...still the guy that rides more than any of us, right?! :-)

No filings, just thinking of a premptive strike. You know, best defense is to spend money now! We'll be having a tech day sometime in the Spring...hope you make it here again. Otherwise, I'll be seeing you in the other side of the mountains! :-) But, if you want, you can come be my grease monkey and crawl under the beast to tap out the bolt that is stripped and dead ass locked in place on the oil filter cover. Sum beach is in there good. Waiting to get some new stainless steel bolts before i easy it on out!! Always and extra bed here...which means I won't charge you much if you make out this way. You just ahve to listen to me bitch about my PhD work!

Later man......
