2001 Alarm Installation Manual

I am the proud owner of a 2001 k1200ltc that I acquired used. The bike came installed with the alarm system but no documentation on reprogramming the remote or what the button do or how the alarm is supposed to act. I have seen bits and pieces of programming notes but because I'm not sure how this is supposed to operate I am at a lost. Does anyone have an electronic copy of the alarm guide for this bike? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I've never tried to reprogram, but would seriously like to this Spring. The auto-immobilizer drives me crazy. Anyone know how hard this is? Can I ask the dealer to do it for me next time it's in the shop?

If you are unfamiliar with this, just turn the key on and check the LED on the right side of the gauges. If it's illuminated, the bike wont start unless you hold the left button down on the remote (until it goes off).

I would love to find documentation on how to remove the alarm entirely. I really don't want it. I am afraid it will malfunction and leave me stranded.

Yeah, me too! Mine is sitting now with the red light a-blinkin' becasue the battery went dead due to a bad extension cord on my battery tender. I have the code card but no fob so I need some advice.
