Bought the Westco 51913 about two months ago, working fine and dandy. I think it's the mid priced option but I'm more than happy as the capacity is slightly higher than the original..

I have an 03 LTE and it currently has a BMW gel battery... was there when I bought it used. Now needs replacement and I don't want to go the gel route due to charger expense.
I had an Odyssey 680 on my old 2000 LTC and it was great. I would like to go back to the Odyssey on my '03. Is it compatible with the 2003 bike as well?

Thanks for any help I can get.

Thanks for all your input on the battery, it seems as though anything BMW costs $$, no matter aftermarket or BMW brand. Thanks again.

get the P231-ND battery, this is the Panasonic LC-X1220P

$56.19

I am very pleased with mine. You will need to drill out the terminals to get your bolts to fit.

What year is your LT? Will this work in the 2003 LT? Is it maintenance-free?

Mine is an '03 LT also. The Panasonic is a AGM type, not the gel.

Neg on your bike connects sideways, neg terminal on odyssey connects flat on top. some have bent their factory connector, in order to make it work. i have an adapter kit for the odyssey that will allow use of your factory cables with odyssey and provide additional connection points for neg & posi...

There is a connection adaptor that they sell. I just bent the existing connector, it works fine and the price is right.
