Sold my LT last night. I really hated to see her go, but I gotta make room for that Concours14.
The good news, I sold it someone local, so maybe I'll get to see her every once and a while.
I told the new guy about this site, so maybe they'll be a new member here soon.
If y'all don't mind, I think I'll hang around here. I've made some good friends here and I still like to here all the news about the LT and GT.

Congrats, Doug, on selling your LT. I imagine is was bittersweet.
I just bought mine in December, and I am thinking of selling it to get a newer one with less miles, now that I know how much mileage I'll be putting on it. :)
As for staying around here, well, you're still two wheeling, even if it is one one of them there red Commie bikes. Just don't let Mr. McCarthy find out. ;)

Just curious, are you keeping the 86 Connie?

Yep! Now, if I can get my holds on that Concours14, I'll have the 1st yr of the first generation and the first yr of the 2nd generation. I doubt I'll still be riding by the time the 3rd generation comes out.

Especially given how often Kawasaki turns over designs. Maybe someday they will make a successor to the Voyager XII. Maybe not.

You sold it to a good friend of mine and he told me about this forum so I am sure he'll be here! He spoke well of you and how you seemed like a straight shooter and comfortable throughout the selling process. You sold your LT to a hell of a guy who will take care of it. (once he gets past the paranoia of dropping it).
Hope you don't mind me hanging around. Where he goes I go!

Welcome to the zoo, H. Hope you and your 'friend' enjoy it here. Got some good info to go with your friend's ride.
BTW - brung your friend and his LT out to Leon Springs some Friday morning, 'bout 0600, for some good Starbucks juice, and even better chat. Doug is usually there, along with a few other LT riders from the 'hood.
BTW #2 - I don't know who Doug sent to negotiate the sale of Bertha, butt sounds like a great guy. Doug, on the other hand!!!! Well, you know them Connie riders!
Anyway, H. - tell your friend congrats on the purchase. Hope we get to meet him someday - maybe soon.
Best.

Sounds nice but I think I'll pass on going to Leon Springs for some Java.....since I am in Massachusetts. What - you think I own a BMW or sumpin'? Would be a tad rough doing that on a Sportster! :D
I guess he just got home with the LT. He just messaged me "WOW!"
Anyhow, I don't reckon I'll be in here much, so ya'll play nice.

I told Rick all about *$$. He works a weird schedule, so don't when he'll be able to show up. Sure was strange watching someone riding (albeit timidly) off on Bertha. I hope Connie doesn't get too lonely in that dark garage until her new sister shows up.
