CQ HID not lighting every time

This time no joking....

Yes I have had the same problem. At first we were suspecting too low voltage for the ballast and I even installed a separate swith to the OEM light circuit to be able to give power to the ballast only after the bike has started and is properly running. This helped at the beginning but then the problem returned and got worse. HID dealer gave me finally new ballast and the problem went away.
Another thing to make sure is that your high voltage connectors are really properly connected. I once had that (poor connection) problem as well.

OK cheers. I will check all connections (I suspect the BMW one will be the weakest link!)
