Reconnected the nose cone after fitting HIDs.
Computer console now says that the temp is -40! Checked connections, all seems fine.
Anyone else had this? Did it get fixed?

Yep, wait till summer comes...

Sorry, could not resist... We just had -34 two weeks ago but my bike was not outside then.:p

No, really, this seems odd. Are you sure your temperature sensor cable did not get pinched while you put the tupperware back?

Once you start riding your LT, it will gradually (1 hour) come back to normal.

Mine took about 2 days to "fix" itself.

At -40 it is the same temp regardless of scale.

Sorry to hear about your " Cold Snap " When doing some upgrade works I had the nose cone off for over a month. After reinstalling, the temp read as expected. (06 model) Not sure what could cause this issue but it sounds as though others have had similar

That sounds promising then. I wont strip it back down - just ride it!

The plug IS still connected to the temp sensor, isn't it? Two things will cause the temp gage to read -40, disconnecting the battery and disconnecting the connector at the sensor.

I discronnected both, but both are now connected. Hopefully as said earlier, it will show the right temp after a ride
