I have that exact windshield. I am 5'9", and if I was to do it over again, I would have ordered either the -3, or -4. Just my thoughts. jrlakin

I'm about 5'8" and ordered the #2 -1 but had to go back and get another inch trimmed off of it. COMPLETELY happy now. Real nice folks to deal with.

That's what you get for living in Braselton. ;) :D

The first two years that I worked in Atlanta I lived 100 miles away (drove 200 miles round trip every day). I told Jan we needed to move closer, but 50 miles outside of Atlanta is as close to that town as I intend to live. Braselton seemed to be about the right distance. :)

I have the #2 with wings, stock height. It seems to be a tad higher than the OEM, but I am almost 6'4", so I can see over it easily. I get better protection out of it fully lowered than the OEM fully raised! My wife still prefers it fully raised (as she did the OEM) when she's on back. Just another "discussion" with her that I lost... I don't like looking through windshields on the bike.

Hey hallzee,

How much higher would you say the #2 standard shield is than the BMW stock? I have the stock shield and would like a #2 Cee Bailey and actually wouldn't mind if it were a little taller, but not too much. How high is it in the full upright position? Do you look through it when its all the way up? Also, how do you like the wings? I am considering those too, mostly for my wife in the back. Anyone with any thoughts, please respond. I sure don't want to buy more than one before I get what I want. Thanks.

I recently installed a CD #2 -2 with wings on my 2002. I love it  The -2 seems to be about the same height as the stock. The wings widens the envelop considerably for the rider and passenger. It's great!!!

Does the -2 fit at the lower position without hitting the bodywork?

If you're referring to the #2 style with the upcurve or flip. Yes, it's fine for the bodywork. Only the #1 style shield with wings has the problem of marring the fairing paint. Sorry I didn't make that clear in the thread I started over in the K1200LT forum. My subsequent replies have made the distinction.
