Do any of you know if the Odyssey Battery PC680MJ is for sale in SA? I cannot find it here in Qatar and no online dealer that I have contacted so far want to accept a cc from Qatar.

I will be visiting SA next month and I am in desperate need of the battery.

You do not need the Metal Jacket battery, may be easier for you to find the standard PC680, withought the "MJ" suffix.

I have tried the E-Bay thing.

Of the two suppliers that has items available, one will not accept my credit card and the other will only ship to the USA.

Pity I hear it is a good battery and mine has been done in by the summer.

It seems I might just as well get a replacement from the local BMW dealer.

I would be surprised if they let you carry a battery on the plane.

If you want to see if they have one available, my suggestion is to go to the BMW SA website, get the website of a dealer in the town where you'll spend most time, email/call them on the battery etc etc.

Watch out for those Japies.
