I did part of Rte 66 by Greyhound in 1963 from LA to Boston as a teenager.
Talk about an Iron Butt event!

I have done several stretches of it, but never from end to end. I know in MO. there are several sections that throw you onto I-44 cause the road is closed, which is okay, cause most of the great stuff is in AZ or NM anyway. You spend so much time crossing over and under I-44 in most places along the way that it gets boring. Just to be able to say I had done it, I would still like to do it end to end though...on my scoot, not some damn bus! :)
