I sent an email to Magelllen support and asked by phone the following questions: I have a Magellan RoadMate 3000T. I wish to install it on a motorcycle and need a power supply to power it. I don't want to use the Powerplug (cigarette lighter power adapter) because it is too big. I notice in your documentation that the RoadMate want 5 volts DC power. What suggestions can you give me? On a separate but related issue the documentation states that I should only use a Phihong: PSC11R-050 AC adapter. I have called Phihong and they say they don't have such a model number. Please advise.
I have called tech support twice for help - unfortunately they did not understand what I wanted and the language barrier was insurmountable.
You may wish to reconsider a Magellen purchase because support is unable to understand resonable questions - outsourcing &^%$#@!!
Has anyone here installed a Magellen Road Mate 3000T on a K1200 LT and if so how did you do it (BTW - it seems to work very nicely in the car - yestersday I delivered flowers in a snow storm and found every customer easily). Thganks in advance for the help.
