Enjoy, Jim, and ride safe.

Breakfast and medicine intake completed.
Email and BBS Check completed.
One short energy nap in my fav - chair to be completed.

Then after lunch, as the sun moves the temps up past mid 50's mark,
I'm back out for the rest of day..country roads, fresh air and continuous
motion, if you know what I mean :p

By the way, I have not experienced any shifting/clunk issues with my bike.
Smooth as silk and most effortless thru range.

So far, I like brake set-up. Best on any BMW I have owned, except maybe for 1200GS.

..and I do not hear the pwr assist wine when stopped with brake on, like I did on the GS.

Smooth as silk and most effortless thru range. That's good to hear. It sounds like they've gotten the fuel injection mapping sorted as well.

..and I do not hear the pwr assist wine when stopped with brake on, like I did on the GS.The '07 GTs have the new Continental-Teves brake system. That means no more power boost pump, and no more brake whine.

There are some pics in this thread (http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14952).

Enjoy your new ride. :D

Well after about 200 miles or so, I concluded I did not want to really go home, but all good things must stop, or be temporarily interrupted !

What a great afternoon. A little windy, but nice. Never made it above 64F.

Can't say that for the good ole speedo

......and yes, i believe it's very well broke-in now !

This bike just keeps wanting to run, run, run..... It's hard to get back off the throttle, once you engage it. So smooth, powerband/torque range is tremendous, and I looked for vibrations all day and found none ! Maybe I was just so engaged in the one-with-machine thing and all, that I just did not notice ?

Anyway, I can see this bike will be hard to keep clean, as it will stay on the road as much as possible !

Congrats, Jim. Enjoy the new ride, and good to hear you're feeling better (a new bike is excellent medicine, eh?).

Yep, managed to get it done in less than a week from taking delivery !

There seems to be some kind of magnet in the bike somewhere, and my butt keeps getting sucked into the seat ! I don't know what else to do except open the garage door and leave, or maybe not come straight home from work !

Anyway, I think you GT riders might understand my problem :p

This new problem I have definitely soothes the soul, and is keeping me away from the TV and other important stuff :D

Congrat's on the new ride, Jim!

Believe it or not, that seat magnet is special. It even works on my ass--which is Titanium!
