Apparently this does not cause any problem...
I had a low beam HID on my 03 for a couple of years without trouble.
Too early to tell about my 03 since I only had the HID since last October, but I am not worried.

Hi, David - ole Toad's HID is about 7 years old and has done the on/off/on dance without nary a problem since installed.

There is a work around for that, if you wanna get creative and find somebody in the Fodderland to purchase what is called the Euro-switch for ya. This leetle switch lives on the right handlebar, just left of the heat switch for the grips (you can see a leetle cut out there with a blank cover). Couple of folks have purchased that switch while in Europe, and installed it. I'm not sure if US dealers can provide it. Bruce Coleman (Burce) up in DFW area has one, if you wanna chat about it.
