The FORCE is irresistiable and spreading.
Several of the Posse were hit again this week.
Some are recovering nicely and others just do not know they have it yet.

Congrats Doug,
I knew you would buy the Green Duc if it went on the market again. We'll have to tear up some foothill & mountain roads here soon.

Feb 13th, 2007, 6:42 pm
I do not plan on TEARING up anything.
Just looking for the perfect aphrodisiac.
OH! OH! I feel the FORCE is at it again and it is only Tuesday. I think this might be a record week for HDDC acquisitions. Who is next?? Please let us know when it happens, it might inspire others to give in to the FORCE.

I am just the current custodian of the Matrix so we can keep this beautiful piece of engineering art local for all to enjoy. Someday it may be your turn???
OOPS!! Was that the Force I just felt again?? Can not shake the feeling that the Dept of Motor Vehicles is going for a record week of transfer fees/taxes.

Well, it is a new month. Raffy and I decided that the HDDC one-a-month rule for bike buying is fair, but it's cumulative. Buy 2 in February, skip March and April... :D :D :D
Congrats Doug! Perfect purchase!
I feel the power pulling me... Don't, stop. Don't, stop.
Don't stop, don't stop.... :D :D
And it's not only the South of Sacramento folks... :D

OK Lets Play
You might need an Vehicle purchase intervention if.....................
Your neighbors aren't sure who lives in your house because of the amount of different vehicles parked out front.
You have the DMV book marked on your browser.
You made more money last month selling used farkles than your work pay.
You just realized that you didn't have your last three vehicles long enough to perform their next scheduled service.
Your Federal tax deduction for vehicle registration tax was 5 digits last year.
:rotf:
add on as you see fit.................

Any way My head is beginning to hurt from the permutations.
There was a Fox a frog and a rabbit that had to get five motorcycles across a river but no one wanted to be left alone with the Fox so how did they all get across the river?
OH how will we keep score?

Went to breakfast, then to A&S to kill some time. Nathan and I headed back to my house. Got the keys to the trailer (frantic search by me), then headed to the yard and hooked up the trailer.
Came back to the house and loaded up the GS first and then the Ducati and all the take off accessories from the Ducati.
Drove down to Lockeford and dropped off both bikes at Doug's house. Money changed hands and we all headed down to Modesto.
I proceeded to complete the purchase of my next Ducati. While everyone was looking at bikes, helmets etc.
The link below shows the new bike before I walked it over to the trailer. And Nathan helping with tying down the bike.

Feb 20th, 2007, 1:24 am
It went to a guy from Jackson, California. Nice guy. Apparently he was looking for a used KLR and had seen a bunch that were in shambles. I listed the bike on eBay last night. He already had an email waiting for me at 6:00 am when I turned the PC on.
He rode it home and his friend followed him in a truck. We had to give him a pair of gloves and goggles. He rode with a motocross helmet.
Took him all of 10 minutes after we fired the bike up to say he would take it. He did try to offer less. But I held my ground. It went to a good home.

So, Raffy, did you go to the GS ADV because of the gearing?
RaffyK
Feb 20th, 2007, 10:41 pm
Yes Jim.
I wanted the lower gearing more than the larger tank. So instead of sinking more dollars on the 04 GS and changing things out, I decided to sell the GS to Hal and look for an 04 Adv.
The only reason I got the 04 GS was because I was able to trade the K1200S for it. Hal threw a bunch of dollars at me making the decision to part with it easier.

I partially defarkled this morning, but not completely. Most notably my old LT still has the PIAA 1100s, the Motolights, and the J Pegs attached. There’s going to be a good deal on an ’02 LT at A&S.

If Dark Graphite Metallic is good enough for my friend Roger, then it’s good enough for me. Besides, Ted said it’s the fastest color. http://tinyurl.com/7j2dv

Not that that means anything, Billy. I’m just sayin’.http://tinyurl.com/7pu55
I partially defarkled this morning, but not completely. Most notably my old LT still has the PIAA 1100s, the Motolights, and the J Pegs attached. There’s going to be a good deal on an ’02 LT at A&S.
Mike E., thanks for the escort!
Sweeeeeeeeeet! The proper color.
Now what did you get on it?

I’m just sayin’.http://tinyurl.com/7pu55...Hey Tom, my bike with the most Graphite color definitely moves the fastest.... just a shade over the posted http://www.bmwlt.com/gallery/files/6/2/5/0/bs.gif I'm thinking about swaping out the White Aluminum panels for Graphite ones so I can pick-up the pace a bit

Man Hal - the '07 KLR didn't get dirty enough to clean before you moved to the GS...
Color me jealous... :D
What made you want to get rid of the KLR so quickly... is the GS THAT much better?

No, actually lack of garage space. Plus Dan wanted it, so off it went. The KLR is a GREAT bike, I wouldn't hesitate to own another one someday.
But I was really lusting after Raffy's GS after seeing it a couple of Sundays ago, so I kept nagging him and adding $$ to the pile... :D

Now we're talking. What can I say after 40 years of American Iron?
As far as tomorrow, it's never raining too hard for a Harley rider. Whenever it's raining out there, the only riders I see are on Harleys and the occasional BMW nut.
See you at 7AM

I know. It was in my garage for a week:) It was almost as dirty as my GS:D
I hate to admit it, but I did hose off most of the mud after my little ride at Prairie City today. However, no soap of polish was involved:histerica

My new to me 2004 R1150GS Adventure finally showed up. Long 3-week wait from purchase date.
Big thanks to Randy for taking time from his business and checking the bike out for me.
Another big thanks to Nathan for accepting delivery at his business.
The bike is light gray/silver and has the mounting brackets for the factory Adventure luggage. I did not get the factory saddlebags with the bike. However, I did get the factory Adventure top case. Bike has 13,922 miles.
I already have aftermarket saddlebags for it that I will attempt to install tomorrow.

Raffy bought the Caribou cases with liners and locks. I saw them today, very, very nice, secure, and will hold a lot. Plus the price is about half what the metal jobs will cost. Not to mention the hidden storage/tool locker.. :D
