Will the old SPIII mount on the LT work with 376c ????? Or what will I have to do to make work. No power cord???Unfortunately neither the mount or the power cord will work. You can modify a 376c mount to attach to the 4 hole pattern of the bracket that holds the SPIII mount, but it is not easy.

I see the four hole pattern. Why is it not easy????

Actually, when I took the rotator apart the four holes line up just right. As Randy pointed out, the electrical connections are totally different. Since the BMR mount is not steel, I attached the GSM antenna by using the existing screw holes in the bottom of it and running the screw through one of the existing outside holes on the BMR mount where I had removed a wing. Less clutter now that the sat radio and wing are gone and all is snug.

I see the four hole pattern. Why is it not easy????I guess 'not easy' was an inappropriate term. Not that it is difficult, but I am never sure, when potentially speaking to thousands of riders, what the mean skill level is. What is easy for one rider is not necessarily easy for another. I have learned that even disassembling the 376c mount may not be easy to some riders. I was not considering you or any other rider in particular, just the general population.

When I put the 376c on my GS I chose not to use the Garmin mount because I wasn't sure that it would latch the unit in solidly enough and it is not a locking mount.

Well that all depends - what old mount do you have?

If you have the original BMW thru the dash light mount you are in luck. :D

Just take the marine mount apart and it bolts right up to the original mounting plate - no machining, no drilling - just a trip to Lowes or a good nut & bolt shop to get the correct length fasteners.

I got this info reading through many posts and found that Coni Fitch answered this question sometime ago.

If you are in need of a marine mount drop me a note we can haggle offline

The same applies to a BMR bracket on a BMR shelf. Great photo....leave it to Coni :)
