Just want to say hello and thanks to Grif for the HID group buy. I’m one of the “silent majority” that has been lurking in the background taking advantage of all the advice and knowledge you guys have to offer. After two years I feel like I know most of you and hopefully will get the opportunity to meet you one day.

Quick background, like a lot of you I started riding in high school (50cc Honda, Twin 100 Yamaha, 305 Honda Super Hawk, and HD Sportster) took a twenty-five break for marriage and to raise two son’s. Fast forward to 01 and the kids are grown and the wife agreed I had paid my dues so like all mid-life guy’s I had to get the HD (01 Road King). Enjoyed the Road King for three years but after spending a small fortune on chrome and tee shirts I found myself on a 05 LT.

So far you guys have called everything on the bike, the clutch went right on schedule at 7K and after replacing the Bridgestone’s with Metzler’s the front end shake was gone. Other than that she runs great and the only thing I see me trading her for is the next generation LT. One of these day’s I will have to give you my dealer experiences but in a nutshell I can not say enough good things about Hermy’s in Port Clinton, PA and you know what will freeze over before I ever step inside my nearest dealer Battley HD / BMW in Germantown, MD. There is a reason I drive 165 miles from my home in northern VA to Hermy’s.

Before I get to long winded I pulled the trigger on the group HID buy yesterday and I’m looking forward to lighting up the road. Of course I will be referring back for all your installation advice when the light get’s here. Thanks again and keep the knowledge flowing.

Late greetings to ya, Ed. Glad you came out of lurk mode, and thanks to Grif for sparking the move. Like I told one of the new guyz up around the Dallas, Tejas area - check around for some tech sessions, cuz they gotta great bunch of wrenches up there who are glad to help out. And so do you, in your area. You can even call one up and see what the interest might be. Ain't nuttin' like a tech session with three or four, or more, LTs gettin' farkled and sparkled up.

And lissen - if you haven't been to a CCR yet (I forgot to check the list for your name), there's the chance to put names with faces and keyboard personnas and have a great time with folks sharing your same interests surrounding this bike brand.

Good luck on the HID install - yelp if ya need help.

Ride safe, Ed.

You're welcome, Ed. Yeah, it was grueling.... I had to make an email. Sigh, somehow I managed to soldier thru it all.
