I had a ride on the 2007 LT and a ride on the 2006 Goldwing and I had sold my HD Ultra Classic last Fall. I loved the LT and although the Goldwing is a fine motorcycle it just didn't seem exciting to me. I had read the negative comments on this site regarding LT problems but I feel the need for one. I hope to have my new Blue 2007 next weekend if all goes well. South Sound BMW has great people.

Bob - great choice. The people at South Sound are pretty good. I had 3 BMW bikes and ride an 05 LT currently. Lots of fun things to do to it to make it just the way you want it.
Expensive re: the recommended maint., but if you can change oil/filter, you can manage quite a few other things on it then as well.
Have fun!

Well, Congrats on your new LT... :thumb: Many happy SMILES!
What ever you read here is just like any other forum.. You did the right thing and let the bike tell you which one was the right for you..

Congratulations and *Welcome to the Cult!
You might consider riding over to my Pacific Northwest Tech Day to see how we work on this most elegant beast. No doubt someone will be stripping off the tupperware and doing fluid changes. These are just a few of the more common things most owners want to know how to do.
PS. Whatever you do, DON'T ride it like a Harley.. Shift up @ 5K and never run it under 3,000. :):)

Welcome to the cult is apt. You will never look back!
I can't wait for someone to sponser a Tech Day on the Western side of the Pacific Northwet... With temps in the 50's I've been riding for the last couple of days!1

I can't wait for someone to sponser a Tech Day on the Western side of the Pacific Northwet...I suppose it's about time for another one. I'll be up in Hillsboro for the next few months, so I'm sure we can arrange something. Try posting in the PNW forum and see who replies.
And congrats, Bob, you'll enjoy it. I was just at South Sound tonight looking at the new bikes . . .
