Ok, the 39.95 question for the day.
I have a 2006 LT I bought new in Aug of 06. Bike is kept in garage and on a bike tender. Bike was ridden 2 weeks ago with no problems.
Today I got it out and let it warm up riding out of the neighborhood I had the radio on through the headset. When I hit the on ramp on to a major road took the tach up to almost redline. When the tach hit almost exactly 6,000 rpms the radio cut out like it does when you get a call on the CB (turned off) or the GPS (also turned off). When the RPMs got beck down to around 5,000 the radio came back on. At the next light when I put on the brakes the radio cut out. Release the front brake lever and the radio came back on. This happened everytime I had the throttle wide open. If I took it up slowly nothing happened. When it cut out you got a HEAVY whine static in the head phones. I rode the bike about 75 miles and played with it and it was always the same. I got it to cut out in 1st and 2nd but didn't have enough highway to try the rest of the gears. After about 45 min into the ride pulling the brake lever did not cause the radio to cut out.
Everything else seems to be working correctly, lights, turn signals, cruise control....
