Has anyone had any problems with their sidecase locks being very stiff and hard to open? Mine detach very easily but to push down on the lock to open is very hard. I mentioned it to the dealer and they tried lubing the assy then took them apart with no help. They then took the cases off a brand new GT and gave me them. One of the new ones was a little stiff also. Now that one is getting worse.

A friend of mine on another forum had some problems on his '07. I don't remember what he did but as I remember it was a simple solution. I'll try to find out and get back to you soon.

I just talked to my friend and I was wrong, no solution, but dealer has new parts to install under warranty. BTW, mine aren't that great either! http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/images/icons/icon9.gif

Mine work flawlessly. Maybe it's a newer problem. :confused:

Leave the key in and push on it. Much easier.

Rob, I've also found that leaving the key in the ignition while trying to start the bike is much easier.
