I recently purchased a 2002 LT (new to me). It's at the dealership getting serviced and tires. They are putting on Motolights for me. I am curious where do most you put the switch. I will be traveling some and don't really want the switch exposed. I though maybe in glove box off to the side or maybe tied in with low beam. But if fuse blows all lights go out.
All suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks....

The switch from Motolight is waterproof. Most the time the Motolight folks install the switch along side the sting ray at the steering head. Other folks have used a Pheonix Switch and others the switch that piggy backs on the turn signal. As for me, mine is tucked under the seat as I never worry about turning them off. YMMV.
BTW, are you going to join us on Feb 10, for the RTE (http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18766). Remember to watch the SouthEast forum to keep up with the goings on in MS, AL, TN, GA, FL, NC and SC.

I put mine in the glove box with a simple small hole. The switch is there just in case I need to ever turn them off. Hasn't happend yet.

Mine is under the seat. Eventually will install a switch on the handlebars in the same housing as the PIAA 1100x switch.

Here ya go.... It is waterproof so no problem being exposed.

I put mine out next to the headlamp knob. It's out of the way out there.. Don't use it much but it's nice to have easy access when I need to load shed when I'm fiddling with stuff and don't want to start the engine.

Great ideas from you guys. I really appreciate you input and will let the dealership know this morning.
I may have it put next to headlamp knob only if ignition has to be on for it to work. Otherwise, I will have it put under seat.
Thanks again....

I got motolights to increase my visability to others so I run them all the time. I wired them into my low beam lights without a switch.
