This is a question for those with the systems mentioned. Assuming you have properly dialed in your suspension for yourself. Do you ALSO adjust the rebound as you would the preload when taking on a passenger? Or should the rebound remain a constant?
TIA

Along these same lines. . .
I have Ohlin's on my bike, but they were installed by previous owner. Can someone point me to a manual that describes how to set/adjust and why?
TIA

I adjust the preload just like before, crank it up for passenger or extra luggage. I found the ideal “sport” settings for the rebound and damping after many hard runs up and down a favorite stretch of road. Then I dialed it down a bit until I found a bit more “relaxed” settings for improved comfort during daily commutes or 2 up touring.

Tony,
All you can do with Ohlins is rear pre-load and rebound dampening. You can change the pre-load on the front but it is by adjusting the two jam nuts under the spring and is not something you would routinely do. If you go to the Ohlins web site I think they have the info there.
The big knob under the seat does the pre-load on the spring and near the attach point on the swing arm is a black knob that adjusts the re-bound dampening. From the Ohlins manual - increase the rebound if you feel harshness on a rough road and decrease if you are bouncing on a rough road.
