I have a 2 year old Chamberlain Lift Master GDO. It was lifting a single 18' door.. no problem.
I removed the single door and replaced with 2 "single" doors, repositioned everything.. and all works fine... for a while.
Tonight when I tried to close the GD, the safety sensors sensed there was an obstruction. I checked the sensor lamps.. both were off.. great.
Went on my errand, returned and debugged to a crushed sensor wire (shorted). Great!
Good news. I need to replace the "wires" that run between the sensors and the unit. Better news, don't have to replace the sensors... I don't think...
So, the "moral" of the story is to be careful and don't let your "help" crush important wires between wall "header" plates and the ceiling.
